Te Nahu Lovell & Co are a boutique firm which bring together the practices of partners Hemi Te Nahu and Loretta Lovell. Friends and cousins, Hemi and Loretta met in law school and remained in contact as they progressed their individual careers. Both hail from the Hawkes Bay and the Wairoa Mahia region specifically.
Hemi has practiced extensively in the litigation areas of Treaty of Waitangi, Maori Land Court, Employment and Family law. More recently he has been advising in respect of Resource Management matters alongside his extensive long term involvement with Maori land owners and trusts in the development of their lands and resources.
Loretta started her career working in government and subsequently worked for a large corporate law firm in Wellington working extensively for large multinational corporate and iwi organisations. She has extensive experience in the areas' of public and commercial law and has in particular developed a niche practice in energy law advising in large energy infrastructure negotiations and developments.
Hemi and Loretta have drawn staff from across the country who are likeminded in being passionate and committed to assisting their clients to achieve their goals.
